Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Mixed Reality Creators (also referred to as "we", "our", or "the studio") is an independent game and tools studio. We publish tools and experiences for Unity developers and mixed reality platforms, including Codex Bridge available on the Unity Asset Store.

2. Scope
This Privacy Policy covers:
- This website (mixedrealitycreators.com and any associated pages hosted by Mixed Reality Creators)
- The Codex Bridge Unity Editor plugin
It does not cover any third-party services you use in connection with the plugin (including OpenAI, Unity, Meta, or the Unity Asset Store). Please review each service's own privacy policy.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 This Website
This website is a static site hosted on Netlify. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or cookies beyond what your browser or Netlify's infrastructure may log automatically (e.g., basic server access logs for CDN operation). We do not receive, store, or process any personally identifiable information from visitors.
3.2 The Codex Bridge Plugin
The Codex Bridge Unity Editor plugin does not collect, transmit, or store any data to servers owned or operated by Mixed Reality Creators. Specifically:
- No analytics or telemetry are embedded in the plugin
- No usage statistics are sent anywhere
- No project files, scripts, or scene data are uploaded to our servers
- No API keys or authentication tokens are transmitted to us
- Chat history is stored locally in your Unity project's
UserSettings/CodexBridge/Chatsfolder on your own machine - Plugin preferences are stored in Unity's
EditorPrefs— a local, per-machine registry — and never leave your machine
4. Third-Party Data Flow — OpenAI / Codex CLI
Codex Bridge integrates with the OpenAI Codex CLI, which you install and authenticate independently on your own machine. When you send messages in the Codex Bridge chat panel:
- Your prompts, attached context (scene hierarchy, scripts, console logs, etc.), and any images you attach are sent to OpenAI's servers by the Codex CLI process running on your machine
- Mixed Reality Creators does not intercept, receive, log, or have any access to these messages or any responses
- You authenticate with OpenAI directly using your own ChatGPT or OpenAI account via the Codex CLI login flow
- Your OpenAI API key or session credentials are never transmitted to, stored by, or accessible to Mixed Reality Creators
By using the Codex Bridge plugin, you agree that your use of OpenAI's services is governed solely by:
We strongly recommend reviewing OpenAI's data retention, training, and opt-out policies before sending sensitive code or proprietary information through the CLI.
5. API Key Security
Your OpenAI authentication is managed entirely by the Codex CLI on your local machine. No API keys or session tokens are stored within the Codex Bridge package files, Unity scenes, prefabs, or ScriptableObjects. No credentials are included in project builds. Plugin settings that reference the Codex CLI executable path are stored in EditorPrefs and remain local to your machine.
6. Local Data Storage
Codex Bridge stores the following data locally on your machine only:
- Chat transcripts — saved in
UserSettings/CodexBridge/Chatswithin your Unity project. This folder is excluded from Unity's default version control settings and is not uploaded by the plugin. - Plugin preferences — stored in Unity's EditorPrefs (OS-level registry/plist). These include settings such as the Codex CLI executable path, preferred model, and feature toggles.
You can delete local chat history from within the plugin preferences at any time.
7. Unity Asset Store
Codex Bridge is distributed via the Unity Asset Store. Purchases, licensing, and account management are handled entirely by Unity Technologies. Please review Unity's privacy policy at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
8. Children's Privacy
Our products are developer tools intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
